Adam Bampton-Smith



Adam is artistic director of Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company which he founded in 2004 to create theatre for young audiences for the UK and abroad. He has written and produced The Legend of Perseus, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, The Night Before Christmas, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus and Aliens Love Underpants (UK tour, West End and Hong Kong), Monstersaurus! (UK, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Dubai) as well as adapting the Oliver Jeffers books STUCK and The Way Back Home (UK, USA, Asia) for the stage. His show based on the popular children’s book Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! has toured throughout the world for the past ten years and will visit Malaysia this Spring. Adam has also assisted and directed on a number of shows for Nick Brooke Ltd including Dinosaur Zoo (UK, Europe, Asia), The Railway Children (UK) and The Hollywood Special Effects Show (UK, USA).

Adam’s favourite pants are purple with white trim.
